Wyatt Richard: Gave them a shot before going to Lasik+. I went to Lasik plus for a second opinion. Prices were about the same but Abit more for Hunter Vision which I did my research and they have the better laser.I have been suffering with a -5.75 astigmatism in my right eye and left eye -4.50. I could not see or read anything past two feet in front of me. After getting the procedure done I can see everything the next day. Things are still healing, but the quality of life has improved.Dr.Hunter is very knowledgeable and did my surgery. I would suggest requesting him to do the operation if you have any doubts other doctors.Edit: After my healing after surgery I am now at 20/15 vision. Thank you doctor Hunter!

James Alleman: I think going with an experienced doctor like Dr Hunter is worth it if you can afford it, this is your vision and you want to minimize risk where you can. They were honest about the procedure, and I have experienced the 2 most common issues that they warn everyone about: glowing around bright objects and some dry eyes. Even with those side effects I’m happy with my decision and I’m told both might improve over the next few months.

Indira B: Went here for SBK Lasik. Had some miscommunication with the staff for scheduling and getting a hold of someone, but they are very friendly aside from that. Doctor Hunter is amazing. He made me feel incredibly comfortable during the procedure, I was nervous but he put me at ease and walked me though each step. He has great jokes that distract you. Procedure was fast, about 15 minutes. I don't think I would have felt as comfortable with any other doctor. In the end the doctor is the one who is during the procedure, regardless of what issues you may have with the staff, and he was great. I had a ton of questions, and he answered all in great detail and was completely honest and transparent. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Bil Hollabaugh: This place saved not just my life but my vision. I’m a pretty healthy guy and out of no where 2 years ago I developed bilateral retinal tears. I went to a local surgeon that specializes in the elderly population and over the course of the year I had 7 surgeries. My vision was slowly becoming worse and so was my overall mental health. The PTSD alone in itself was absolutely horrific plus adding the stress of being an icu nurse. The doctors here finally told me that I must go to another surgeon that specializes in more active patients. At this time the current surgeon had me on his books for 2 more surgeries. Recovering from his surgeries were nothing but brutal. They felt like I was hit by shrapnel. I was referred to The Palmer Institute which is affiliated with Miami University. I went to the West Palm Beach location and met the surgeons there. I have to admit by the time I arrived there I was complaining broken. My workouts which are a huge part of my life were taken away from me by the Orlando surgeon.I was floored to find out not only did I not need 2 more surgeries. But I could go back to my normal life in 48 hours after the last surgery.I’m embarrassed I didn’t know this being a nurse.Never … ever … ever go to a stand alone surgery center. Go to one that’s affiliated with a school and one that had multiple surgeons. Not just one or two.The smaller surgeons are not updated and cannot afford the latest treatments. And they only specialize in one thing. The Orlando guy specializes in elderly. So all my post op instructions were to lay in bed for weeks recovering.The surgeon from Palmer Institute specifically worked with athletes.And he understood that putting to bed rest was not good for my mental health.If it was not for the Doctors at Lake Eola telling me something is wrong and your going to possibly lose your vision if you keep repeating these surgeries with the Orlando surgeon.I could possibly be blind right now.Sadly , yea the Orlando surgeon should of sent me to a specialist. But he just kept milking me for money for repeated unnecessary surgeries.Lake Eola eyes is top notch and their bed side manners are amazing. Even the front desk staff is incredible.I cannot thank them enough for getting me through the past two years.
